Former Hello Venus Member Yoo Ara Reveals She Has Cancer

wikitree Views

On the 11th, a former Hello Venus member Yoo Ara revealed on social media that she had been diagnosed with cancer.

Yoo started by addressing her thoughts on her inactivity, stating, “I feel like a lot of people think I am dead.”

She disclosed, “I have always been exhausted and not in the best condition. During one of the checkups, I learned that I had cancer.”

She then assured her fans, “I was told that I needed surgery, so I had an emergency operation to remove the malignant tumor. I’m taking medicine and resting. I’m getting much better now.”

She also added, “There were many people who were upset because I wasn’t responsive. I’m going to try my best to recover with the least amount of stress. Everyone, please be safe and I will try to be more active soon.”

Yoo Ara has always been an amazing singer as the group’s main vocalist. She debuted as a member of the girl group Hello Venus in 2012, then left the group in 2014 to become an actress.

Below is the full text of Yoo Ara’s Instagram post.

Hello, this is Yoo Ara.

You’ve all been well, right?

I feel like a lot of you might have thought I am actually dead (so I’m writing this post).

For a long time, I have always been exhausted and not in the best condition.

During a checkup, I learned that I have cancer.

I was told that I needed surgery, so I had an emergency operation to remove the malignant tumor.

I’m taking medicine and resting. I’m getting much better now.

Some people already know this, but many people were upset because I was not as responsive and it also hurt me.

I would be so grateful if my friends and all those who love me could understand.

I’m going to try my best to minimize my stress and get healthy.

Everyone, please don’t get sick, and always take care of your health! Be careful of the heat.
I will try to share updates more often.

Have a good night.
