WINNER’s Song Min Ho, currently under scrutiny for allegations of subpar military service, is set to be discharged today.

Song Min Ho, who began his alternative service as a social service worker on March 24 of last year after completing basic training, is scheduled to finish his duties on Monday. However, his discharge is overshadowed by the ongoing controversy surrounding his service.

On Monday morning, Dispatch released additional reports detailing accusations of negligence during Song Min Ho’s service. A public service worker at the Mapo Facility Management Corporation, where Song was assigned, claimed, “Song Min Ho rarely showed up for work. On the rare occasions he did, he would lounge around with his AirPods Max, playing games.” Another employee supported this account, stating they only saw Song twice a week and sometimes as infrequently as twice or thrice a month. “He would arrive around 10:30 or 11:00 AM, play games for 20-30 minutes, and then leave, claiming he needed to eat lunch at home because of his celebrity status,” the employee added.

Concerns about Song Min Ho’s appearance also emerged. One soon-to-retire director reportedly suggested that he cut his hair, but the request was ignored. The employee further noted, “He didn’t even wear the required uniform for service workers.”

These latest allegations follow initial reports earlier this week claiming that Song Min Ho had failed to fulfill his duties at the Mapo Community Benefit Facility properly. YG Entertainment, Song Min Ho’s agency, responded, “While we can’t confirm specific details about the artist’s service, his sick leave was an extension of pre-existing treatment, and regulations took all other leaves.”

The controversy surrounding Song Min Ho’s service has intensified. Citizens are filing complaints through South Korea’s National Petition system, demanding an investigation into his alleged manipulation of attendance records. It has also been reported that the police have launched a preliminary investigation into these claims of inadequate service.

As Song Min Ho prepares to return to civilian life, all eyes are on his response to these serious misconduct allegations.
