Tesla’s electric pickup truck, the Cybertruck, features a futuristic design with angular exteriors and metal materials. While the design is divisive, the price ranges from $69,990 to $99,990, depending on the version.

Although it was not popular when launched, sales have recently increased. According to Tesla, sales in the third quarter of this year amounted to $25.18 billion, an 8% increase over the same period last year. Operating profit increased 54% to $2.717 billion, and net profit surged 17% to $2.167 billion.

It also became a hot topic in South Korea. This is because fashion icon G-Dragon (A famous South Korean singer) arrived at the airport in a cybertruck while leaving for Hong Kong last November. It was reported that it had a temporary license plate at the time because it had not been officially launched in South Korea.

Meanwhile, the first Tesla Cybertruck owner in South Korea has appeared. He is singer and musical actor Kim Junsu.

According to an imported car retailer, Kim Junsu received the first Cybertruck in South Korea on Monday.

The seller stated that the vehicle was the first Cybertruck to have an official license plate in South Korea. Considering the vehicle’s characteristics and road traffic laws, the front license plate was shifted to the right, and the rear license plate was placed lower than its original location when delivered.

It has been reported that Kim Junsu even mobilized an airplane to receive the Cybertruck as soon as possible.

Kim Junsu, known as a “supercar maniac,” confessed on Channel A’s Oh Eun-young’s Golden Counseling Center (One TV program in South Korea) aired in 2021 that he owned 10 vehicles, including a Lamborghini Aventador, the only one of its kind in South Korea, as well as a Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, Porsche, and Maybach.

At the time, Kim Junsu mentioned that he used to own more vehicles but had gotten rid of most of them. He shared that he liked vehicles and owns two or three, including one used for his schedule. He revealed that he was drawn more to the rarity of the cars than to limited editions and that if he liked something back then, he would buy it without hesitation, spending all the money he earned.

Kim Junsu is expected to own at least three vehicles, including the newly purchased Cybertruck.

Meanwhile, Kim Junsu will hold a fan meeting to celebrate the 15th anniversary of his musical debut. This KIM JUN SU Village 15 meeting will be held from February 8 to 9, 2025, at the Peace Hall of Kyunghee University in Seoul, South Korea.
