On Tuesday, Billboard announced that Stray Kids’ latest album, SKZHOP HIPTAPE (HOP), debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. This achievement makes Stray Kids the first artist to hit the top spot in six consecutive albums.

Formed under JYP Entertainment, Stray Kids is an eight-member boy group that debuted in March 2018.

Since then, the group has consistently delivered hit songs, earning widespread recognition and a global fanbase.

Some of its most popular tracks include “MANIAC,” “Lalalala,” “Lose My Breath,” “Chk Chk Boom,” “Walkin’ On Water,” and “God’s Menu.”

Each song highlights its unique sound and musical identity, helping the group maintain a strong presence on the charts.

The song’s catchy, energetic chorus made a lasting impression on fans, with online reactions pouring in: “Isn’t ‘MANIAC’ just incredible?”, “Felix’s voice is the essence of this song,” “How did I just discover this now? It’s amazing!”, “These guys really know how to make addictive tracks,” “The beat is exhilarating and gets better with each listen,” and “I found this song through Bebe’s performance, and now I want to see the original choreography too.”

The SKZHOP HIPTAPE (HOP) album carries special significance for Stray Kids.

It’s a self-composed project that features contributions from every group member, showcasing its unique musical style more prominently than ever before. Since its debut, Stray Kids has crafted music rooted in its signature “3Racha” style, and this album further emphasizes its deep passion for the hip-hop genre. This distinctive sound has been vital in building its dedicated global fanbase.

HOP also marks an essential step in the group’s ongoing musical evolution. Billboard praised the album, stating, “Stray Kids will continue to dominate with its new album,” recognizing its potential for even greater musical growth. This suggests that Stray Kids will likely continue pushing creative boundaries, further solidifying its place in the global music scene.

Stray Kids’ Billboard 200 achievement has sparked significant attention from music media worldwide.

Prestigious outlets like Forbes, Rolling Stone, and NME have all covered the milestone, offering glowing praise for the group. These outlets hailed Stray Kids as record-breakers on the Billboard 200 chart and pioneers in shattering the glass ceiling of the 69-year-old Billboard chart history, underscoring the monumental nature of its accomplishment.
