The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on the 18th (local time) that an explosion at the Al Awlaki Al Arab Hospital in northern Gaza the previous day resulted in the death of 471 Palestinians and injured over 314 people.

The Ministry of Health also revealed that since October 7, at least 3,478 people have died, and over 12,000 people have been injured in the Gaza Strip.

The Al Awlaki Hospital in the Gaza Strip was the scene of an explosion the previous day, resulting in hundreds of deaths and injuries. Israel claims that the hospital explosion was the work of Jihadists.

Daniel Hagari, a spokesman for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), confirmed in a briefing on the 18th (local time) that “after a post-mortem review, it was confirmed that the responsibility for the attack on the Gaza City hospital lies with Islamic Jihad.”

President Joe Biden, who arrived in Israel that day, also said in a press conference before his summit with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, “The hospital explosion in the Gaza Strip the previous day appears to have been done by another team, not Israel.”
