Netizens harshly criticized his remarks, calling them insensitive and disrespectful. They expressed negative reactions such as “Don’t disrespect the deceased,” “Do you find this amusing?” and “Do you enjoy being criticized?”

In response to a question asking why he found the actor’s drowning in a bathtub amusing, Brennan replied, “Because the tub isn’t that deep.” He dismissed the criticism and expressed his inability to understand the netizens’ point of view.
