He added, “Our people regard the misfortune and sorrow suffered by the friendly Russian people as their pain,” and emphasized that “we are expressing our firm support and solidarity for the just cause of the Russian people who are striving to consolidate socio-political unity and stability around you and defend the safety and sovereign rights of the country.”

He also clarified that “the stance of the Republic’s government, which opposes all forms of terrorism, is consistent and that the brutal terrorist acts threatening human life cannot be justified by anything.”

On March 22nd, armed men stormed the Crocus City Hall theater in Moscow’s Krasnogorsk, indiscriminately firing automatic rifles and setting fire to the building, resulting in 143 deaths.

The Islamic extremist group Islamic State (IS) claimed responsibility for the attack, but Russia is raising suspicions that Ukraine was involved in the tragedy.
