Kia Tasman: Pricing, Features, and Off-Road Focus for the New Pickup Truck

On Wednesday, Kia unveiled the specifications and pricing for its first-ever authentic pickup truck, the Kia Tasman. The automaker will begin taking orders for the new vehicle on Thursday.

The Tasman debuted at the 2024 Jeddah International Motor Show in October. The truck is expected to set a new standard in the domestic pickup market with its innovative design and impressive features.

Kia has structured the Tasman’s lineup to reflect pickup trucks’ robust and dynamic nature. The trim levels are categorized as Dynamic, Adventure, and Extreme. Kia also offers a specialized X-Pro model to cater to off-road enthusiasts, broadening the range of options for potential buyers.

The Tasman’s pricing structure is as follows: the base Dynamic model starts at 37.5 million won ($25,800), the Adventure trim is priced at 41.1 million won ($28,300), and the top-tier Extreme version comes in at 44.9 million won ($31,000). The specialized X-Pro model, designed for enhanced off-road capability, is priced at 52.4 million won ($36,000).

The Tasman boasts a 2.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain delivers a robust 281 horsepower and 43.0 kgf·m of torque. Fuel efficiency for the standard model (17-inch wheels and no built-in cameras) measured at 20.2 mpg.
