Local YouTube streamer Jo Seong-geun posted a video on Friday documenting his dramatic rescue of a dog during recent torrential rains that flooded several towns in South Chungcheong Province.

The canine caught Jo’s attention by emitting a high-pitched squeal.Viewers of Jo’s live-streamed journey to Seosan were divided on whether he should attempt a rescue. Some urged him to enter the water, while others cautioned against the risk. Ultimately, Jo waded into the floodwaters and retrieved the dog, which exhibited bloodshot eyes and signs of hypothermia.
In a message at the video’s conclusion, Jo informed his audience that the dog had received medical attention and was recuperating. He provided his contact information and stated he was seeking to locate the dog’s owner. The animal was found in fields near the Yeomchi Post Office in Yeomseong-ri village, Asan.
