Expired Conditioner Magic: 4 Clever Household Hacks You Need to Try

From Cleaning to Laundry
Expired
Conditioner’s Honey Tip

Do you have any items at home that are difficult to deal with? I have one. It’s conditioner.

I don’t usually use conditioner, so the conditioner that comes as a holiday gift, or the expired conditioner, is overflowing at home. Disposing of these leftover conditioners is complex, and it doesn’t seem reasonable for the environment to throw them away, right? Since I can’t use them for my hair, I wondered where to use them resourcefully.

So today, I will introduce how to use an expired conditioner. With just this one, you can finish all the household chores. Let’s get started.

Today’s Materials: Conditioner, Spray Bottle, Dry Rag

These are today’s materials. If you don’t have a spray bottle, you can still use a conditioner to some extent by preparing a dry rag. But it would be much more convenient if you had one, right?

Conditioner is used initially to protect and coat hair from external harmful substances. The slippery and coating ingredient unique to conditioner can be well utilized and used in many places. Let’s see how these three ingredients can transform the conditioner.

1. Cleaning Electronic Appliances

First, fill the spray bottle with warm water and pump the conditioner into it. Then, shake the spray bottle so that the conditioner mixes well. Let’s use it once the conditioner is somewhat dissolved in the water.

First, when the TV is full of dust, lightly dust it off, then spray the conditioner water and wipe it with a rag. Not only does it shine, but it also accumulates less dust.

It can also be used on doors or refrigerators. Just spray it anywhere where many handprints are left and wipe it off.

If you don’t have a spray bottle, squeeze a small amount of conditioner onto a dry rag and wipe it off. Remember, since this is not diluted in water, you should only squeeze a minimal amount!

2. Cleaning Mirrors and Glass

Like above, it is prepared by mixing water and conditioner in a spray bottle. It would be great to keep using it once you make it, right?

This time, let’s use it on mirrors or glass. Have you had difficulty with handprints, watermarks, and makeup stains on bathroom mirrors or mirrors women use for makeup?

Just spray the conditioner water and wipe it off to make it clean as new. If you don’t have a spray bottle, it’s OK to dip a dry rag in a little conditioner and wipe it off. Try cleaning places like faucets while cleaning the bathroom mirror. If you apply conditioner to stainless steel materials, it does a great job.

3. Anti-Static Effect

As the weather gets colder and we wear more knitwear, the static electricity from clothes is no joke. At this time, conditioner plays a vital role!

Put warm water in a spray bottle and dissolve a little conditioner, shaking it until it melts. This works best with warm water, so making it fresh rather than using what you’ve already prepared is better.

Just lightly spray it on your clothes and dry it well. Don’t spray too much, just a little, like spraying perfume. Then, you can prevent the tremendous static electricity from happening to some extent.

The conditioner also has another role in knitwear besides preventing static electricity. The knit shrinks if you soak a stretched knit in water diluted with conditioner. This is because the conditioner makes the clothes soft.

4. Substitute for Fabric Softener

The last method is to try it when doing laundry. If you need to do laundry but don’t have fabric softener..? Don’t worry, and try using conditioner.

Conditioner contains surfactants, the main ingredient of fabric softener, so that it can be used as a substitute for fabric softener.

However, since the conditioner has a high viscosity, it should be well dissolved in warm water. When putting it in the washing machine, dissolve it in warm water and put it in, and when hand washing, soak the laundry in water with conditioner after washing it.

We’ve looked at how to use conditioner up to here. This time, I used an expired conditioner, but there’s no problem using a regular conditioner. When cleaning with conditioner, it seems like it’s coated for a while, so less dust accumulates and stains don’t quickly form.

It’s a treasure to use for cleaning and laundry. Lol. Don’t ever throw away conditioner because it’s expired, and everyone quickly finds it left at home!
