Phu Quoc, a popular vacation destination in Vietnam, is attracting worldwide interest by introducing new tourist attractions and diverse activities.

Recognized as one of the Top 100 Places in the World by Time magazine, Phu Quoc lures visitors with its stunning natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage, drawing many tourists annually. As the only destination in Vietnam offering visa-free stays for foreign tourists for up to 30 days since last year, Phu Quoc has become increasingly popular for both short trips and extended stays.

One of Phu Quoc’s standout attractions, the Kiss Bridge, swiftly became a major draw within a year of its introduction. Its unique design features two 400-meter-long (1,312 feet) bridges positioned just 30 centimeters (12 inches) apart, offering couples a romantic setting for sunset photos.

Additionally, the Hon Thom cable car, recognized as the world’s longest by the Guinness Book of Records, spans an impressive distance of approximately 7.9 kilometers (4.9 miles). This cable car provides a convenient mode of transport from Phu Quoc’s southernmost point to Hon Thom Island, further enhancing the island’s appeal to visitors.

The view of the coastline, jungle, and blue sky from inside the cable car is reminiscent of a painting. The Exotica Village theme park on Hon Thom Island features thrilling roller coasters set amidst a tropical forest theme. At the same time, Aquatopia offers refreshing water activities, making it a family favorite.

Sunset Town is Phu Quoc’s cultural hub, boasting vibrant street scenes and captivating performances. The newly introduced Kiss of the Sea, the largest water music show accommodating up to 5,000 spectators, lasts 30 minutes. Set against a 1000 square meter water screen, the show immerses the audience in a fantasy world through the interplay of darkness, light, fire, and water.

Kiss of the Sea has received acclaim for its enhanced quality. It features dazzling performances by 60 artists from 20 countries and spectacular stage effects, surpassing its predecessor, Kiss the Star. Established as a must-see show in Southeast Asia, Kiss of the Sea is held every evening in Sunset Town.

The Love Hurricane, an extreme sports show in Sunset Town, is gaining popularity. The show debuted in February this year, featuring 18 of the world’s top jet ski and flyboard athletes. It showcases aerial spins up to 15 meters (49 feet) high, reminiscent of scenes from James Bond movies, accompanied by excellent water sprays. The event also includes a high-speed jet ski show forming a heart-shaped whirlpool, a Vietnamese flag parade, and various other attractions.

Moreover, Phu Quoc’s Sunset Town hosts the Buipest Bazaar Night Market, Vietnam’s first beach night market, offering shopping and performances in one location. With over 40 stalls, street food vendors, theater performances, interactive art shows, and more, it provides a vibrant atmosphere for visitors. Additionally, Sunset Town presents eight traditional Vietnamese puppet dance performances and live music concerts for further entertainment options.

Phu Quoc, a sought-after destination for couples, families, and friends, hosts numerous global hotel chains. La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc – MGallery is recommended for couples seeking a romantic getaway. Recently renovated in December, the resort features European-style interiors and stunning terrace views inspired by the Italian Amalfi Coast. Guests can enjoy beautiful night views, including the Kiss of the Sea show and fireworks.

Families may opt for New World Phu Quoc Resort, offering 375 spacious pool villas, a swimming pool, a kids’ club, and an adult spa. Conveniently located near Kem Beach, recognized as one of the world’s 50 most beautiful beaches in 2018, guests can enjoy a memorable vacation without extensive travel. The Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay is another similar resort catering to families’ needs.

The Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort is recommended for travelers seeking luxury and privacy. Nestled on a secluded peninsula amidst lush forests, white sandy beaches, and emerald seas, this resort offers an ideal setting to experience Phu Quoc’s natural beauty. It provides spacious villas for a private retreat.

Alternatively, the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa is recommended for travelers intrigued by interior design. Designed by renowned interior designer and architect Bill Bensley, this resort was transformed from a site once used as a 19th-century French university. Notable features include a stunning swimming pool shaped like a shell and various meticulously designed rooms, ranging from standard to suites.
