Beyond the typical VIP lounges in major U.S. airports, there has been a surge in enjoying exclusive services from established VIP terminals. In these locations, individuals using regular commercial flights can enjoy services similar to private jet owners at a relatively affordable price, drawing considerable attention.
On April 6, foreign media outlets, including CNN, reported that the members-only VIP terminal operated by P/S will open its doors on September 6. The terminal is in the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta, USA.
The P/S terminal, set to open in September in Atlanta, features a salon lounge, individual suite rooms, an entertainment center, a snack bar, and bathrooms. The terminal plans to decorate its interior with various artworks, including works by prominent local African-American artists.
In addition to luxurious facilities, services such as private security checks that eliminate the need to stand in line, separate luggage management, and a dedicated escort to the runway in a BMW sedan are provided. You can even choose the order in which you board the plane.
Even though there is still a month until the opening, the company is already accepting reservations through its website. Among the products on sale, the cheapest one-time-use ticket is $1085, and the annual membership that allows you to enjoy all services and facilities is $4850.
“We aim to provide convenience and luxury to the many travelers visiting America’s busiest airports,” Amina Porter, CEO of P/S, shared. She also expressed her excitement that other airports will join them.
The luxury travel trend is expanding the role of VIP terminals globally. Major airports worldwide are racing to establish VIP terminals from Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai to Heathrow Airport in the U.K.
P/S Services introduced the first VIP terminal in the United States at Los Angeles International Airport in 2017. Within the next two years, they plan to launch similar service terminals in Dallas and Miami.
