YouTuber’s Journey from 154 to 110 Pounds Leaves Viewers Stunned

inews24 Views

A YouTuber who had been stressed out due to unsuccessful weight loss despite diligent dieting revealed the secret behind her successful 44-pound (or 20-kg) weight loss.

Jihani, a Youtuber with 123,000 subscribers, shared secrets to her diet success in a video titled “The time everyone ignored me when I was 154 pounds (70kg)” on her YouTube channel on the 22nd.

Jihani, who majored in dance at college, opened up about her struggle with weight gain after enrollment.

She maintained a weight in the 132-pound (60kg) range until she began her life as an idol trainee, at which point she managed to lose weight to the mid-110-pound (50kg) range. Even after her debut fell through, she said there were no significant changes in her weight at the time.

Jihani said, “Even after my debut fell through, I maintained that weight until I was 24. My face was different, and the way people treated me was different. It felt perfect.”

However, her joy was short-lived. With the spread of COVID-19, continuing her dance team activities was challenging, and Jihani jumped into the YouTube market to generate income. Her content focused on mukbangs (eating shows), which led to her gaining weight.

Jihani said her weight increased to 154 pounds (70kg) and expressed her stress at the time, saying, “As my weight increased, I received fewer job offers and felt desperate. I wanted to lose weight every day.”

When Jihani first started her diet, she struggled to lose weight, even though she followed a strict diet and exercise regimen. She explained how her weight continued to rise despite her diligent consumption of chicken breast, eggs, and sweet potatoes, coupled with running twice daily. She confessed that the diet challenge often left her feeling overwhelmed and tearful. Frustrated, she expressed disappointment that she saw no weight loss despite adhering to all the guidance she received.

Out of despair, Jihani started to eat regular food and surprisingly found that the numbers on the scale were decreasing, eventually succeeding in losing 44 pounds (20kg).

Jihani shared her thoughts: “I started to lose a little weight when I returned to a normal diet. Honestly, I still don’t understand it. It seems like I had to find my diet method. My body didn’t accept it because I tried to do it with only typical diet foods.”

She also offered advice, suggesting that dieting should not be pursued unless it is required for health reasons. She attributed her weight loss to professional demands and cautioned others against losing weight solely for aesthetic reasons, emphasizing that everyone’s circumstances differ.
