On the 13th (local time), former U.S. President Donald Trump attributed Iran’s assault on Israel to what he characterized as President Joe Biden’s inadequate leadership.
As reported by Yonhap News, during a campaign event in Pennsylvania on that day, Trump remarked, “Israel is presently besieged. This situation stems from our conspicuous display of profound weakness.”
He contended, “The degree of vulnerability we have showcased is staggering, and such events would not have unfolded under our administration.”
Furthermore, he declared, “However, we shall endeavor to restore global peace through the assertion of strength,” affirming his commitment to revitalizing America’s influence abroad and reinforcing its domestic capabilities.
Reflecting on his presidency four years prior, Trump lamented a perceived decline in international esteem for the United States, asserting that while the nation was once revered, it is now derided as a “laughingstock.”
He subsequently argued that had President Biden made fewer missteps, including the attacks on Israel on October 7th (last year’s Hamas assault on Israel) and the present incident, they would not have occurred under his leadership.
