Jungkook from the group BTS is writing history again by hitting a record on the U.S. Billboard chart.
According to the latest chart released by the U.S. music specialist media Billboard on January 17 (local time), Jungkook’s solo album, GOLDEN, ranked 43rd on the main Billboard 200 chart.
The title track of this album, “Standing Next to You,” took 76th place on the main Hot 100 single chart. With this, Jungkook has maintained his steady presence on Billboard’s two main charts for ten consecutive weeks.
Solo songs from each BTS member also spread across the Global 200 and Global (excluding U.S.) charts. The Global 200 includes Jungkook’s solo singles “Seven (feat. Latto)” (13th place), “Standing Next to You” (14th place), another solo single “3D (Feat. Jack Harlow)” (44th place), and the title track “Like Crazy” (93rd place) from Jimin’s solo album FACE.
On the Global (excluding U.S.) chart, “Seven” (5th place), “Standing Next to You” (9th place), “3D” (32nd place), “Like Crazy” (71st place), the track “Love Me Again” (141st place) from V’s solo album Layover, and Jimin’s solo single “Closer Than This” (150th place) were ranked.
Meanwhile, Jungkook’s “Seven” was recently listed as a Grand Prize nominee (Short List) in the music video category of Film&Video at the U.S. Clio Music Awards. The Clio Awards is considered one of the three major advertising festivals in the world, along with the New York Festival and Cannes Lions, and selects creative works in various fields, not just works that propel the advertising industry.
