IU x Tweety Bird Super Special Collab Exceeds Expectations

Unparalleled artist IU, who swept the music charts immediately after the release of her pre-released song, finally meets Tweety Bird, a character loved by the whole world.

On February 7, EDAM Entertainment announced, “IU will sequentially unveil large-scale promotions in collaboration with Tweety Bird, a character that has received much love from The Looney Tunes Show, with her mini album “The Winning,” which is scheduled to be released on the February 20, in partnership with Warner Brothers Discovery Global Consumer Products.”

Tweety Bird, a character that first appeared to the public in 1942, is a canary character from the “Looney Tunes” animation. Tweety Bird, known for its confident, optimistic personality, bright yellow color, and cute appearance, still has a global pop culture fan base.

This collaboration will introduce the cute and lovely Tweety Bird character in different styles by applying the new concept of IU’s mini album song. Curiosity is amplified by the appearance of Tweety Bird on the main cover of “The Winning” special edition album, signaling the start of a large-scale project. IU and animation fans have high expectations with the variety of collaboration goods planned to be released.

IU and Warner Brothers’ Tweety Bird have a unique relationship. IU once used Tweety Bird as her profile image on her official Instagram account. In 2021, the official “Looney Tunes” X (formerly Twitter) account retweeted a post from a fan concerning the resemblance between Tweety and IU that became a hot debate locally and internationally.

The agency shared, “We ask that you please look forward to the synergy created by the collaboration between IU and Tweety, an artist who receives passionate love from fans worldwide and a globally renowned character who has brought childhood nostalgia, fun, and joy.”

The sale of the special edition of IU’s mini album featuring Tweety Bird will start at 3 PM KST on February 7. Detailed information can be found on online music sales sites in Korea.
