BTS member V is making headlines with his recent weight gain updates.
On the 2nd, V interacted with fans on Weverse, a platform where artists and fans can connect.
When a fan asked about his weight gain progress and health, V replied, “It feels like I am shooting ‘The Secret Life of Kim Taehyung (his real name).’ I’m currently working on making my goal turn into a reality. If I continue to eat well, exercise, and train like this, reaching 86kg (189.6 lbs) will be possible.”
In response to another question about his workout, he said, “Just wait a bit. I’ll shed the weight and become a muscular man within a year.”
Before enlisting in the military, V had promised to build up his strength in the army during a live broadcast with BTS members RM, Jimin, and Jungkook, saying, “I will get up to 189.6 lbs.”
Last month, he caused a stir when he disclosed that he had reached 159.8 lbs.
Meanwhile, V began his military service last December and currently serves as a special forces soldier in the 2nd Infantry Division’s military police unit in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. His expected discharge date is June 10, 2025.
