Korean men have been caught committing lewd acts abroad.
Recently, a video of two men performing lewd acts at a Songkran festival went viral on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and other social media sites.
The Songkran festival is a traditional Thai New Year holiday event held in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. During it, participants spray water or shoot water guns at each other.
In the video, two men, stripped to the waist, are engaging in lewd acts near a yellow tent set up outdoors.
According to local media reports, the tent was installed near the entrance to the event venue, making it easily visible to others at all times.
The video also captured security personnel trying to stop the men.
However, local police identified the men in the video as Koreans after investigating the situation.
According to Thai law, if caught committing lewd acts in public, one could face up to 10 years in prison or a fine of up to 200,000 baht (approximately $5,400).
The police stated that these men would be punished according to the relevant law. According to the immigration police, these men have already left Thailand.
