Tesla has initiated a recall for its Cybertruck.
On the 19th (local time), Tesla announced that it had recalled 3,878 Cybertrucks to rework and replace the accelerator pedal, which could increase the risk of unintentional acceleration if it becomes detached.
According to a recall report submitted to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Tesla received two customer claims about this issue.
Tesla stated that the Cybertruck’s accelerator pedal could detach and become trapped in the interior trim if excessive force is applied.

In response, Tesla plans to repair the accelerator pedals for free.
Tesla has not yet announced this model’s quarterly production and delivery report. Still, this recall provided the first information on how many Cybertrucks have been sold since Elon Musk delivered the first pickup to customers last November.
On the other hand, Musk has warned that it could take 12 to 18 months for Tesla to mass-assemble the stainless steel-covered Cybertruck, and it is unlikely to reach an annual production rate of 250,000 pickups next year.
Tesla’s stock price fell by 2.3% and dropped 40% this year.
