63-Year-Old Saudi Man Marries 53 Times to Find His True Love

Daniel Kim Views

A Saudi man who married 53 times is making headlines.

On the 11th, the Hindustan Times reported about a man named Abu Abdullah who has been married 53 times since age 20.

He had his first wife at 20, a woman six years older than him. He had his first children but divorced after three years of marriage due to conflicts with his first and second wives.

His longest marriage lasted 25 years, but the shortest lasted only a day. While most of his wives were Saudi women, he also married foreigners.

It is unclear how many children Abdullah has, but media outlets have all agreed that the figures are “record-breaking.”

When people questioned his marriages, he responded, “When I married for the first time, I did not plan to marry more than one woman because I was feeling comfortable and had children.” He admitted that the process was not always smooth despite his best efforts to treat all his wives fairly. However, Abdullah is now married to only one woman and has no plans to remarry.

Saudi Arabia is a country where polygamy is still allowed, which made this story possible.
