Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, a known loyalist to Russian President Vladimir Putin, showcased a Tesla Cybertruck outfitted with a machine gun while expressing his gratitude to Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

According to reports from Reuters and others, Kadyrov revealed on Telegram that the Cybertruck was equipped with a machine gun. In the video, he was holding the machine gun behind the Cybertruck.

He claimed to have received a Cybertruck from Musk and praised Musk, stating, “I express my sincere gratitude to Elon Musk! He is, of course, the strongest genius of our time and a specialist. A great man!”

He also wanted to invite Musk to Grozny, the capital of Chechnya, saying, “I will welcome him as my most valued guest,” and adding, “The Russian Foreign Ministry will not oppose his visit.”

Kadyrov remarked, “There’s a reason people call this (the Cybertruck) the Cyberbeast. Undoubtedly, it’s one of the best cars in the world. I am confident this beast will bring many benefits to our military.” This comment implies he plans to use the Cybertruck in combat situations.

However, Kadyrov’s assertion that Musk gifted him the Cybertruck has sparked controversy.

If Musk did indeed give the vehicle, it could create significant issues, as the U.S. has imposed various economic sanctions on Kadyrov in response to Russia’s military actions in Ukraine.

Tesla has yet to respond to inquiries from international media about the legitimacy of Kadyrov’s claim.
