Google CEO Sundar Pichai has informed employees that 2025 will be a pivotal year for the tech giant.
According to a report by CNBC on Monday, Pichai and other executives outlined their priorities for the upcoming year during a strategic meeting.
“I think 2025 will be critical,” Pichai said.
He emphasized the importance of internalizing the moment’s urgency, adding that the company must move faster due to increasing risks.
As tech firms like Google heavily invest in AI, the rapidly evolving landscape presents new challenges.
Pichai acknowledged the company’s need to catch up in AI, pointing to the strong momentum behind the Gemini app based on its namesake AI model.
He also highlighted that 2025 would be critical for closing gaps and securing a leading position in the field. Pichai noted that expanding Gemini on the consumer side will be Google’s primary focus next year.
Google’s stock remained steady, trading at $191.42.
