The Italdesign Quintessenza, a groundbreaking pickup truck concept unveiled at CES 2023, continues to generate buzz in the automotive industry. New updates have emerged, adding Elaphe’s advanced electric motor technology to enhance the vehicle’s already impressive performance. According to reports, Elaphe’s electric motors are integrated into each Quintessenza’s wheels, which is expected to elevate the vehicle’s capabilities even further.

Elaphe’s motors are known for their Sonic 1 technology, which provides an impressive peak output of 255 kW (341 horsepower) and sustains 200 kW (268 horsepower) per wheel. Italdesign states that the upgraded Elaphe motors in the Quintessenza will offer even more power, positioning this concept as a true performance powerhouse.

Explosive Performance and Unique Design

The Quintessenza boasts a staggering maximum output of 1,600 kW (2,145 horsepower), surpassing the power of a Formula 1 car. This level of performance is achieved by maximizing the potential of an electric vehicle. The Quintessenza is designed with a 2+2 seat configuration, and the rear seats offer a unique feature: They can fold forward and backward. When folded back, passengers can look out onto the open truck bed, recalling the nostalgic design of the Subaru Brat.

With a distinct shape that sets it apart from traditional pickup trucks, the Quintessenza challenges conventional design norms and offers a refreshing new take on the pickup truck concept.
