Excitement is building among car enthusiasts as the Hyundai Palisade XRT, an off-road-specialized variant of the Palisade SUV, has been spotted on the streets of South Korea. Initially designed for the North American market, the Palisade XRT was not expected to be released domestically. However, the sighting of a camouflaged test vehicle in South Korea has sparked speculation about the possibility of the off-road trim making its way to the local market.

A Distinct Off-Road Package

The Palisade XRT stands out with a distinctive off-road package that sets it apart from the standard model. The front features the same headlamps as the full-change Palisade but a redesigned radiator grille boasting a square pattern in the center of the horizontal garnish, adding a rugged touch. The bumper is equipped with large air intakes and curtains, along with red tow hooks on both sides, emphasizing its off-road capabilities. The lower section of the vehicle is enhanced with a skid plate and diffuser garnish, further reinforcing its tough exterior.

Rugged Features for Off-Road Performance

The side profile includes black molding around the wheel arches and exclusive XRT wheels. Notably, the wheel caps bear the XRT emblem instead of the Hyundai logo, enhancing the distinction.

The roof features a black roof rack, and the vehicle comes equipped with a custom body kit, suspension lift, and all-terrain tires, which significantly raise the ground clearance.

The rear remains hidden under camouflage but retains the vertical pixel graphic taillights.

The lower rear bumper is expected to feature a design that improves approach and departure angles for off-road driving. Cladding and a skid plate will also enhance its rugged appeal.

Currently, the Palisade XRT is sold exclusively in North America. Hyundai has added the XRT trim in response to the high demand for SUVs and pickup trucks in the U.S.

This model appeals particularly to American consumers who prioritize practicality and affordability, generating positive reactions alongside the Santa Fe XRT.
