General Motors is set to enhance the performance of its all-electric midsize crossover, the Chevrolet Blazer EV SS.
When Chevrolet introduced the Blazer EV in 2022, it attracted consumer interest with its spacious design, refined aesthetics, and firm performance potential.
After its market launch, the Blazer EV initially experienced quality issues. GM has since resolved these problems, improving consumer confidence and increasing sales.
As the high-performance Blazer EV SS approaches its debut, Chevrolet has confirmed that the model will exceed its previously projected power output.
Industry sources report that Chevrolet has increased the Blazer EV SS’s power to 615 horsepower, matching the recently introduced Cadillac Lyriq-V.

The Blazer EV SS is expected to accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h (0 to 60 mph) in 3.4 seconds and achieve an EPA-estimated range of 480 km (300 miles) per charge.
Although it is 0.1 seconds slower than the Lyriq-V, it still provides ample power for daily driving while maintaining its high-performance EV status.
The original Blazer EV SS was rated at 557 horsepower, marking a 58-horsepower increase. Chevrolet is also expected to introduce additional performance upgrades.
The Blazer EV SS is scheduled to be released in the first half of this year, and sales will start soon after.
