San Diego Padres’ Ha-Seong Kim has become the first Korean Major League player to win the Gold Glove. Major League Baseball annually gives this award to the best defensive player at each position. Known as Awesome Kim for his fearless plays and stable defense, Ha-Seong Kim proudly made his mark in the utility category, washing away the disappointment of missing out on the award last year.

As a gold glove winner, he naturally draws attention to the various high-class brand cars he owns. So, what kind of car does Ha-Seong Kim drive?

Last year, Aston Martin supported Ha-Seong Kim’s Gold Glove win by providing him with a DBX707. The
DBX model is the first SUV from the British luxury sports car brand Aston Martin, launched at the end of 2019. Among them, the company unveiled the 707 as a high-performance model in 2022. The price of the DBX707 is approximately $268,000.

The car measures 5,040mm in length, 1,680mm in height, 1,995mm in width, and has a wheelbase of 3,060mm. The vehicle weighs 2,245kg (approximately 4,950 lbs) and has large 23-inch alloy tires. It boasts a 4.0L V8 twin-turbo engine with a maximum output of 697 horsepower and a maximum torque of 91.8kg.m. Videos taken by fans revealed his second car, a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, also known as the G-Wagon. Mercedes-Benz sells this body-on-frame type mid-size SUV. Launched initially as a military vehicle in 1979, the third-generation G63 AMG model has been on sale since 2018. When spotted, many praised the sleek matte black color and unique charisma of the G-Wagon, saying it suited Ha-Seong Kim well.

The G-Wagon measures 4,880mm in length, 1,975mm in height, and 1,985mm in width and has a wheelbase of 2,890mm. The vehicle weighs 2,590kg (approximately 5,710 lbs) and has 22-inch tires. The selling price is roughly $183,000. It is equipped with a gasoline V8 twin-turbo engine, with a maximum output of 585 horsepower and maximum torque of 86.6kg.m. It can also reach a top speed of 220km/h (approximately 137 mph) from 0 to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds.

Lastly, in 2021, Cadillac provided Ryu Hyun-jin, active in the Major League, with an Escalade and Ha-Seong Kim with an XT6. This model is a 7-seater mid-size SUV sold by GM’s Cadillac since 2019. With its stylish design and top-class seating and cargo space, it is a popular model among Cadillac’s diverse SUV lineup.

The XT6 measures 5,050mm in length, 1,750mm in height, 1,965mm in width, and has a wheelbase of 2,863mm. The vehicle weighs 2,180kg (approximately 4,806 lbs) and has 20-inch tires. It is equipped with a 3.6L gasoline V6 engine, with a maximum output of 314 horsepower and maximum torque of 37.5kg.m. The price is approximately $72,000 and is highly praised for its cost-performance ratio.
