Analysts predict that Amazon will upgrade its online shopping and data competitiveness in the age of generative AI.

Park Yeon Ju, a researcher at Mirae Asset Securities, said, “The introduction of advanced generative AI technology in the next 2-3 years is expected to alleviate various inconveniences that users experience during online shopping, accelerating the growth of the e-commerce market.” She added, “The key to service quality at this time is vast and diverse customer data.”

According to analysts, Amazon’s U.S. e-commerce market share is close to 40%, which is overwhelmingly higher than Walmart’s, the second-ranked business, which has a mere 6%.

Researcher Park said, “As the demand for AI cloud increases, we also expect the performance growth of the AWS sector.” She predicted, “Amazon’s annual average sales growth rate from 2024 to 2026 will exceed consensus at 14%.” As a result, she suggested a buy and a target price of $238 for Amazon.
