To secure 150 new franchise contracts with 100 new locations this year, targeting Puerto Rico and Mexico after the United States and Canada.
Paris Baguette has been thriving since the start of this year after securing nearly 30 new franchise agreements in North America in the first quarter. This brings the company closer to its vision of opening 1,000 stores in North America by 2030. Paris Baguette plans to open 100 new stores and sign 150 new franchise agreements in the United States and Canada this year.
According to industry sources, on the 23rd, Paris Baguette signed 27 new franchise agreements in North America in the first quarter of this year. In addition, preparations for opening new stores are going smoothly, with lease agreements being signed for 13 new franchise locations in North America in the first quarter.
Paris Baguette stores are expected to open in areas such as North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania in the United States and Alberta in Canada. The company also plans to expand its reach to North and Central America by entering Puerto Rico and Mexico markets.
In the first quarter of this year, six new Paris Baguette franchises opened in North America. Stores were established in Texas, New Jersey, Georgia, Illinois, New York, and Hawaii. Notably, the Bishop Street store, which opened in downtown Honolulu in February, is Hawaii’s first Paris Baguette store. Paris Baguette plans to expand its local business by establishing new stores in Lahaina and Kauai, following Honolulu.
Thanks to its high competitive power, Paris Baguette’s franchise business is sailing smoothly. In August last year, the business magazine Entrepreneur ranked Paris Baguette 37th among the Top Global Franchises. This is the top ranking in the bakery café category and the only one among domestic brands. Entrepreneur ranked the franchises based on their scale and growth, brand strength, and financial stability.
Paris Baguette is tightening its reins on expanding its territory in North America. Last year, it established 43 new stores and signed over 100 franchise agreements.
Eric Lavinder, Paris Baguette America’s Chief Development Officer (CDO), emphasized, “We are striving to enter markets with a clear need for Paris Baguette,” and “Paris Baguette is the only company that can meet the growing demand for bakery-cafes across North America.”
