Mazda is celebrating the 35th anniversary of its beloved sports car with the release of the 2025 Roadster (known as the MX-5 Miata in the U.S.). This new iteration includes a special 35th Anniversary Edition, adding a collectible twist to the already iconic model. While the core design remains largely unchanged, the anniversary model offers unique details and exclusivity for collectors.

The 35th Anniversary Edition will be officially revealed at the 24 Hours of Daytona on January 24, 2025. It features a striking Artisan Red exterior, a Tan Nappa Leather interior, and a numbered badge on each car, making it an actual limited-edition release.

Price Increase and New Color Options for 2025

The base price of the 2025 MX-5 Miata has increased modestly by $345 to $29,330 for the base Sport trim. While this price bump doesn’t offer additional options, the upper trims receive fresh color options. Notably, the Grand Touring model now provides a new Deep Crystal Blue color, further enhancing its appeal.

Also, rumors of a new electric power steering system could improve the vehicle’s driving dynamics. While details are still unconfirmed, this would be a welcome update for performance enthusiasts.
