BMW has unveiled the 2025 BMW XM Concept, created in collaboration with the fashion brand Kith. This is the first standalone BMW M model since the BMW M1, and the XM, the top-of-the-line SUV model, is designed closely to the production version. It draws attention for its unique design and powerful performance. The 2025 BMW XM Concept shows a design that modernizes the heritage of the BMW M1.

Although the 2025 BMW XM concept differs in body structure from the M1, it inherits design elements from its predecessor. Notably, the side strips, louver-style decorations, and the dual BMW emblem at the rear revive iconic features from the past. The overall proportions of the vehicle have also changed, with the front being lowered by about 30 mm (1.2 inches) and the rear by 35 mm (1.4 inches), and the wheel tracks on both sides being extended by 40 mm (1.6 inches) to complete a more dynamic look.

A Bold Color Palette With Unique Details

The 2025 BMW XM Concept’s exterior is painted in the BMW Individual Frozen Techno Violet Metallic, which reveals a strong presence. This color highlights XM’s uniqueness throughout the vehicle, including the iconic glow grille and LED strips. The 23-inch wheels also have purple pigment applied to reveal their presence.

The XM production will be available in Frozen Black or Techno Violet exterior colors. Black accents and Kith badges further enhance the vehicle’s identity. Each vehicle will also be assigned a unique number, making it even rarer as a limited edition.

738 Horsepower: Power Meets Efficiency

The 2025 BMW XM’s powertrain is based on a plug-in hybrid system. The combination of a twin-turbo 4.4L V8 engine, an electric motor, and an eight-speed automatic transmission produces a powerful performance with a maximum output of 738 horsepower and a maximum torque of 101.8 kg.m. This powerful combination allows it to reach 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds from a standstill, and the 29.5 kWh battery provides sufficient efficiency in electric mode alone. It also has an adaptive M suspension and the brand’s fourth-generation eight-speed M Steptronic transmission for dynamic driving.

The interior of the 2025 BMW XM features BMW Individual Merino leather seats with Kith’s signature monogram pattern. Velour floor mats, the Kith logo, door sill plates with “1/47” text, purple interior lighting, and a special Kith duffel bag are also included. The rear seats also have luxurious cushions.

The BMW XM by Kith will be limited to 47 units, commemorating the 47th anniversary of the BMW M1. Priced at $199,000, deliveries will begin in the second half of 2025.

The XM by Kith represents a bold collaboration that bridges the worlds of automobiles and fashion, combining BMW’s storied history with Kith’s contemporary aesthetic. With its striking design, exceptional performance, and exclusivity, this SUV is poised to become a sought-after collector’s item for fans of both brands and automotive enthusiasts alike.
