Genesis’s flagship SUV, the GV90, has been spotted undergoing testing for the first time with camouflage.

Previous sightings showed the vehicle covered mainly in fabric, but this is the first time the GV90 has been seen with its production-intent camouflage wrap.

Automotive YouTube channel Healer TV released a video on Wednesday titled “First Sighting of the Genesis GV90.”

Design Features Revealed

Despite the heavy disguise, the footage reveals key design elements, such as the signature lighting and wheel design. The rear showcases Genesis’s distinctive dual-line taillights, which resemble those found on the Neolun concept. The bumper has a smooth, rounded finish.

The reverse lights are positioned in the lower bumper and are expected to function as guide lamps. The wheels differ from the concept, adopting a refined design that enhances the SUV’s aesthetic. The GV90 is expected to feature 22-inch wheels with 285mm-wide tires. However, wheel sizes may vary depending on trim, and the 22-inch wheels will likely be offered as an optional upgrade.

The side turn signals follow Genesis’s dual-line design and are positioned on the fender like their models in the lineup. The front features MLA (Micro Lens Array) dual-line headlights, though it remains unclear whether the production model will retain the full-width daytime running lights integrated into the crest grille on the concept. The lower fascia includes crest-patterned air intakes designed for battery cooling.

The GV90 is the first model built on Hyundai Motor Group’s next-generation eM electric vehicle platform. This new architecture aims to lower production costs while improving efficiency and extending the driving range compared to the existing E-GMP platform.

The GV90 will be the first model produced at Hyundai’s dedicated EV plant in Ulsan. The SUV is expected to launch in early 2026.
