BMW recently unveiled the new pure electric Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) New iX for the first time. SAV is BMW’s term for SUV.

The New iX is distinguished by enhanced driving performance and power efficiency, thanks to a more sophisticated electric drive system and component optimization. A new design was applied inside and out to improve the dynamic appearance.

The New iX boasts improved power output across all models. The iX xDrive45 delivers 408 hp, the xDrive60 offers 544 hp, and the performance-oriented M70 xDrive reaches 659 hp. The maximum torque varies between 700 Nm, 765 Nm, and 1100 Nm. The M70 xDrive accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, while the xDrive60 takes 4.6 seconds, and the xDrive45 hits the mark in 5.1 seconds.

The new iX has increased battery capacity by applying new battery cell technology. The xDrive45 packs a 94.8 kWh battery, while the xDrive60 and M70 xDrive models feature 109.1 kWh and 108.9 kWh packs, respectively.

According to the European WLTP standard, the maximum driving distance on a single charge is 701 km (xDrive60 model). The shortest model is the M70 xDrive, which can travel 600 km on a single charge.

BMW Korea plans to release the New iX to the domestic market in the third quarter of this year.
