Kia will begin to launch orders for its high-performance EV9 GT and Standard models on Tuesday.

Alongside this announcement, Kia has further strengthened product competitiveness by adjusting the trim levels of the existing EV9 Long Range model.

The EV9 GT boasts impressive performance metrics. Its front and rear motors deliver a combined output of 374 kW (509 horsepower) and peak torque of 740 Nm (546 lb-ft). This powerhouse can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.

Its 99.8kWh 4th generation high-voltage battery can travel 408 km on a single charge (combined standard).

The EV9 GT is the first Kia SUV to offer a stable and luxurious driving experience by applying the electronically controlled suspension with a preview that recognizes the road surface information and driving conditions ahead and controls the suspension to the optimal state.

After the tax breaks for environmentally friendly vehicles, the EV9’s retail price is as follows: the Air starts at KRW 64.12 million ($44,520) and KRW 68.91 million ($47,800) for the Earth with long Range (2WD). Long-range models with rear-wheel drive begin at KRW 68.57 million ($47,600) for the Air and KRW 73.36 million ($51,000) for the Earth, while all-wheel-drive versions are priced from KRW 72.05 million ($50,000) for the Air and KRW 76.89 million ($53,400) for the Earth. The performance-oriented GT-Line costs KRW 79.17 million ($55,000), with the range-topping GT model commanding KRW 88.49 million ($61,400). (Note: Prices are based on a 3.5% individual consumption tax; GT models are not eligible for eco-friendly vehicle tax benefits.)

Therefore, considering the government and local government subsidies for electric vehicle purchases, the EV9 Standard Air Trim in Seoul is anticipated to cost about KRW 61 million.
