Korea’s First Cheerleader to Beat BLACKPINK on Global Charts

Da-Hye Lee, the first Korean cheerleader to work overseas, shared her recent activities.On the 13th, a video titled “Cheerleader Da-Hye Lee Becomes a Top Star in Taiwan in 9 months, How Popular is She..?” was posted on the YouTube channel “MBig News”.

On that day, Lee Da-Hye shared, “I’ve been cheerleading and doing commercial work. I feel like I’ve been working hard this year.”

The MC then asked, “A lot of incredible things happened in 9 months.” To this, Lee Da-Hye responded, “It was surprising to do commercial work. In Korea, it’s rare for a cheerleader to do such work.”

for home appliances, ice cream, Coca-Cola, Samsung, and more. The MC introduced Lee Da-Hye as ‘Taiwan’s No.1 Rising Creator of 2023 on YouTube’, ‘No.1 Popular Creator’, ‘No.2 in Cheerleader Popularity for the First Half of the Year’, and ‘No.5 Taiwan’s Popular Celebrity Selected by Yahoo’.

He added, “Blackpink is in 2nd place. Da-Hye Lee is in 5th place.”

To this, Lee Da-Hye expressed surprise, saying, “This could never happen in Korea. I wondered, ‘Why is my name here?’”

Meanwhile, Da-Hye Lee, who has been actively working as a cheerleader for the Rakuten Monkeys, a professional baseball team in Taiwan, since March last year, is enjoying idol-level popularity in Taiwan.

With Lee Da-Hye’s participation in the Taiwanese team, K-pop choreography has also been added to the routines.

Reporters speculated, “Lee Da-Hye’s value is increasing,” and “Lee Da-Hye might have earned 10 million Taiwanese dollars (approximately $357,000 USD) in Taiwan within a year.”
