Fire authorities who responded to the scene reported that no one was in the pool at the time of the accident, and only the driver was inside the car. Consequently, no significant injuries were sustained. The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Redlands Fire Department stated that although no one was seriously hurt, the incident could have had a tragic outcome. Special equipment was used to remove the car from the swimming pool.

Police authorities stated that they were investigating the cause of the accident. They did not disclose whether drugs or alcohol were detected in the driver’s system.
