The Mercedes-Benz brand has unveiled a special limited edition model exclusively for the US market, the AMG SL 63 MANUFAKTUR Golden Coast. The model will be limited to only 100 units worldwide and will only be sold at select dealers in the US.

This limited-edition model is based on the high-performance convertible SL 63 from Mercedes-Benz AMG and is characterized by its rarity and special design. The elements distinguishing it from the regular SL 63 include unique exterior colors, exclusive wheel designs, and even more luxurious interior finishes. Through this limited-edition model, Mercedes-Benz is implementing a strategy to provide differentiated value in the luxury vehicle market.

Golden Hue Elevates Exterior Aesthetics

Mercedes-Benz’s MANUFAKTUR is the brand’s highest-level customization program. Its most distinctive feature is that it provides special designs that reflect customers’ individuality and tastes. The SL 63 Golden Coast is also a model produced through this program. It has unique design elements that differentiate it from the general SL 63. As it is highly rare, the customer base that can purchase it is expected to be extremely limited.

The most notable feature of this limited-edition model is the exterior color MANUFAKTUR Kalahari Gold Magno. Rather than the usual gold, a luxurious matte gold was adopted to emphasize its exclusivity. This color, which shines softly under sunlight, evokes a sandy beach and reveals a strong presence. Mercedes-Benz explained that the color emphasizes the differentiated emotion of the SL 63 Golden Coast.

The wheel design is also unique. The 21-inch AMG forged cross-spoke wheel is based on black, with the rim flange in Kalahari Gold Magno. Added to this are black AMG brake calipers and white AMG logos, creating a sense of luxury and sportiness at the same time. The design, which pays attention to even the most minor details, serves as an element that further emphasizes the uniqueness of the limited edition model.

Interior Luxury Amplified with Golden Accents

The AMG SL 63 Golden Coast takes interior luxury to new heights. The standard AMG performance seats are upholstered in black Nappa leather with gold diamond stitching—a first for this model. This stitching extends to the steering wheel, armrest, door panels, and instrument cluster, creating a cohesive design that exudes elegance and sophistication. Additionally, high-end interior options typically available as upgrades on the standard SL 63 come as standard on the Golden Coast model, ensuring that customers experience the ultimate luxury without additional costs.

Potent Performance Enhances Limited-Edition Appeal

Although it is a limited edition model, the performance remains the same as the existing AMG SL 63. It is equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, generating a maximum output of 577 horsepower and a maximum torque of 800 Nm (590 lb-ft). The engine is combined with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission, and the full-time all-wheel drive system AMG Performance 4MATIC+ is applied. This allows the acceleration time to be recorded at 0-60 mph (approximately 96 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds, and it also shows powerful acceleration performance even from a standstill.

As a high-performance model, the suspension and brake system also feature AMG’s signature sporty settings. The AMG active suspension with variable damping system and the high-performance carbon ceramic brake system are provided as standard. These elements prove that the SL 63 Golden Coast is not just a model with a different design but a hardcore convertible where you can truly experience AMG’s performance.
