Pop singer Taylor Swift, known to have a fortune of 1.5 trillion KRW ($1.3 billion), has spread her positive influence.

On March 13th (local time), U.S. media outlet ‘Variety’ reported that Swift donated $1 million (approximately 1.3 billion KRW) to the victims of the tornado disaster in Tennessee.

On March 9th, northern Tennessee was hit by severe tornadoes and thunderstorms over the weekend, injuring more than 50 people and destroying several buildings.

In response, Swift, who started her career in Tennessee, donated $1 million to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

Hal Cato, CEO of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, expressed his gratitude in a statement, saying, “Taylor’s incredibly generous gift sends a message that she is providing strong support for her hometown and surrounding communities on their long journey to recovery after this devastating event.”

Swift’s donation will be used for financial support for resident’s food, temporary housing, cleanup, and animal shelter provisions.

Swift is also known to have donated $1 million in March 2020 when a tornado disaster occurred in Tennessee.

Netizens responded to her good deeds with comments such as “Amazing,” “Warm Hearted,” and “Thank you.”

Meanwhile, last week, Swift was nominated as ‘Person of the Year’ by British magazine ‘The Times.’ Her ‘Taylor Swift World Tour ‘Eras Tour” reportedly made a profit of $1 billion (approximately 1.32 trillion KRW). According to the Guinness World Records website, this has become the highest-grossing music tour ever, causing astonishment.
