Marvel Star’s Tragic Christmas Eve Passing: Battling Cancer While On Set

Kamar de los Reyes, a Puerto Rican actor known for his roles in “Call of Duty” and “One Life To Live,” has died at the age of 56.

According to foreign media reports on the 25th (local time), de los Reyes passed away on Christmas Eve after a battle with cancer.

He was known to have been part of the cast of the upcoming “Washington Black.”

De los Reyes was also filming a project titled “All American” and was reported to have been part of the cast of the upcoming Marvel series “Daredevil: Born Again.”

Despite his cancer diagnosis, de los Reyes was known for his unwavering commitment to his acting roles, making his passing even more heartbreaking for many.

De los Reyes was born in Puerto Rico in 1966 and grew up in Las Vegas. He moved to Los Angeles in the late 1980s to study acting and began his acting career in earnest in 1994 with roles in the Broadway plays “Blade to the Heat” and “The Tempest.” He then gained global popularity through various TV series and films. He received critical acclaim for his villainous role as Antonio Vega in the ABC soap opera “One Life To Live.” According to de los Reyes’ family, “He lived in LA, but his heart was always in Puerto Rico.” They also revealed that “he actively participated in the recovery efforts in Puerto Rico, which was damaged by Hurricane Maria in 2017.” De los Reyes is survived by his wife, a 26-year-old son, and nine-year-old twin brothers.
