‘Black Panther’ Actress Carrie Bernans Injured in N.Y.C. Hit-and-Run

Actress and stuntwoman Carrie Bernans has been seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident.

According to the U.S. entertainment media outlet Deadline on the 2nd (local time), Carrie Bernans was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident in New York City at 1:30 a.m. on the 1st. Carrie Bernans was at a Peruvian restaurant in Midtown Manhattan when she was hit by a driver who crashed into the outdoor restaurant.

Carrie Bernans’ mother shared detailed news about her on her Instagram. Her mother said, “Carrie Bernans has several broken bones and severe damage to her teeth, but we thank God she is alive” and “She is extremely grateful to have survived the chaos of the New Year.” She continued, “Please pray for Carrie Bernans’ recovery and her journey to a new beginning. We also want to thank the rescue team, police, family, and friends who helped Carrie Bernans.”

Recently, Carrie Bernans gave birth to a son, who fortunately was not with her at the time of the accident and was with family at a hotel.

Meanwhile, Carrie Bernans appeared as a member of Dora Milaje in ‘Black Panther’ and ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. She also played the role of Styler in the ‘Luke Cage’ series streamed on Netflix. She also appeared in the musical ‘The Color Purple’, which was released in theaters on the 25th of last month, and revealed her presence in ‘The Idol’ and ‘Quantum Leap’.
