Jennie, Cha Eun Woo, and Taeyeon Lead January 2024 Brand Reputation

The results of the big data analysis for individual idol brand reputations in January 2024 show that BLACKPINK’s Jennie ranked first, followed by ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo and Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon in second and third place, respectively.

The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed 69,871,562 big data of 1,720 individual idol brands from December 25, 2023, to January 25, 2024, to measure the brand reputation index based on consumer participation, media, communication, and community indices. Compared to the 59,686,378 big data of individual idol brands in December, it increased by 17.06%.

The brand reputation index is a measure created through brand big data analysis, which finds that consumers’ online habits greatly influence brand consumption. By analyzing individual idol brand reputations, we can measure the positive and negative evaluations of individual idol brands, media interest, and the amount of consumer interest and communication. The monitoring and risk assessment of the idol brand reputation editor were also included.

The top 30 individual idol brand reputations in January 2024 were analyzed as follows: BLACKPINK’s Jennie, ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, Wanna One’s Park Jihoon, NewJeans’ Hanni, IVE’s Jang Wonyoung, BLACKPINK’s Rosé, Highlight’s Lee Gikwang, BTS’s Jimin, BTS’s V, Girls’ Generation’s Yoona, BTS’s Jungkook, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, Wanna One’s Kang Daniel, NewJeans’ Minji, Seventeen’s Jun, BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Super Junior’s Heechul, BTS’s SUGA, BTS’s Jin, Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun, Red Velvet’s Wendy, NewJeans’ Haerin, Red Velvet’s Irene, Super Junior’s Donghae, The Boyz’s Hyunjae, Red Velvet’s Seulgi, Red Velvet’s Yeri, and BTS’s RM.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie, who ranked first in the individual idol brand reputation, was analyzed with a brand reputation index of 3,630,892, a participation index of 139,589, a media index of 357,300, a communication index of 1,350,159, a community index of 1,783,844. Compared to the brand reputation index of 4,031,041 in December, it decreased by 9.93%.

ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo, who ranked second, was analyzed with a brand reputation index of 2,844,700, a participation index of 735,750, a media index of 810,495, a communication index of 672,481, a community index of 625,974. Compared to the brand reputation index of 2,966,706 in December, it decreased by 4.11%.

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, who ranked third, was analyzed with a brand reputation index of 2,788,011, a participation index of 332,983, a media index of 333,901, a communication index of 1,004,844, a community index of 1,116,283. Compared to the brand reputation index of 3,597,268 in December, it decreased by 22.50%.

BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, who ranked fourth, was analyzed with a brand reputation index of 2,521,092, a participation index of 194,241, a media index of 393,576, a communication index of 979,473, and a community index of 953,801. Compared to the brand reputation index of 2,485,045 in December, it increased by 1.45%.

Wanna One’s Park Jihoon, who ranked fifth, was analyzed with a brand reputation index of 2,082,919, a participation index of 226,502, a media index of 561,034, a communication index of 643,000, a community index of 652,383. Compared to the brand reputation index of 273,054 in December, it increased by 662.82%.

“BLACKPINK’s Jennie brand ranked first in the individual idol brand reputation rankings in January 2024,” said Koo Chang-hwan, director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute. “Looking at the big data analysis of individual idol brands, it increased by 17.06% compared to the 59,686,378 big data of individual idol brands in December. In a detailed analysis, brand consumption increased by 3.10%, brand issues increased by 30.98%, brand communication increased by 19.59%, and brand diffusion increased by 13.17%.”

He continued, “BLACKPINK’s Jennie brand, which ranked first in the individual idol brand reputation in January 2024, had high scores in link analysis for ‘appear, stand-alone, unrivaled,’ and in keyword analysis for ‘Odd Atelier, advertising model, Apartment 404.’ The positive-negative ratio analysis recorded a big data positive ratio of 91.20%.”
