Justine Triet’s “Anatomy of a Fall,” which won the Palme d’Or at the 76th Cannes Film Festival, has been nominated for five categories (Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actress, and Best Editing) at the 96th Academy Awards.
This has caught the attention of movie fans because it follows a similar path to Bong Joon Ho’s “Parasite.”
“Anatomy of a Fall,” set to release on January 31 (Wednesday), invites the audience to the unfolding of an event centered around famous author Sandra, who becomes a prime suspect in her husband’s sudden fall.
“Anatomy of a Fall” also won the Palme d’Or, the best award at the 76th Cannes Film Festival.
“Anatomy of a Fall,” which has swept prestigious film festivals by winning at the Cannes Film Festival, Golden Globe Awards, and Critics’ Choice Awards, has now been nominated for five categories at the 96th Academy Awards.
Previously, “Parasite” also won the Palme d’Or at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival and was honored with awards at prestigious film festivals worldwide. The following year, it was nominated for six major categories at the 92nd Academy Awards, winning four categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best International Feature Film.
