[TV Report=Kang Seong-hoon Reporter] Director James Cameron (69) is confident about the “Avatar” series.

On the 5th (local time), the foreign press, People released an interview with James Cameron. Cameron revealed that day, “I have written the scripts up to “Avatar” Season 5,” and “I already have ideas for Seasons 6 and 7.”

James Cameron explained that he had written the scripts and had ideas for the “Avatar” series, but he could pass the baton to a junior director. He added that there is a high possibility of dying due to aging and other reasons.

However, James Cameron said that he enjoys what he’s doing, such as producing the “Avatar” series. He expressed his humility by saying that he enjoys working and is happy to work with great people.

The “Avatar” series is a sci-fi movie that depicts the story of human Jake Sully and Na’vi Neytiri (played by Zoe Saldana) on the planet Pandora, the last hope of mankind. “Avatar” (2009) attracted about 14 million viewers in Korea, and “Avatar: The Way of Water” (2022) attracted 10.8 million Korean viewers, receiving much love.

On the 9th of last month, actor Sam Worthington (48), famous for his role as Jake Sully in the “Avatar” series, announced that the work on the sequel series would resume this month. “Avatar 3” was originally scheduled to be released in December, but due to the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike, the release has been postponed to December 2025.

The “Avatar” series, which offers rich entertainment, is raising high expectations for its sequels.

Meanwhile, “Avatar 3” is scheduled to be released in 2025, Season 4 in 2029, and Season 5 in 2031. Once the ideas and scripts for Seasons 6 and 7 are finalized, the release dates are expected to be announced.
