Despite his current military service, BTS V is gearing up to release a new love song perfect for the spring season.
V’s new digital single “FRI(END)S” will be released on March 15 at 1 PM KST, announced by Big Hit Music on March 4 through Weverse and BTS’s social media.
“FRI(END)S” promises a sweet and soulful love song with its Pop-R&B sound and full English lyrics. The accompanying visuals, featuring the song title and release date against a vibrant pink backdrop, further hint at the track’s warm and loving atmosphere.
Fueling fan anticipation, a short video showcasing V in his natural look dropped on BTS’s official social media a day before the new song announcement.
Following the critical acclaim of his solo debut album “Layover” last September, BTS’s V returns to the spotlight with a brand new song, “FRI(END)S,” stirring immense anticipation among fans eager to witness his next musical chapter.
V plans to release content such as concept photos and teaser videos that will excite fans in anticipation of the release of “FRI(END)S.”
V is on active duty at the Special Task Force directly at the 2nd Infantry Division Command in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. He is scheduled to be discharged on June 10, 2025.
All of the members of BTS, including V, are currently fulfilling their military duties. J-Hope started his service in April last year and is currently serving as an instructor at the 36th Division New Soldier Training Unit. Suga has been working as a social service agent since last September.
RM is in the 15th Infantry Division Victory Unit. Jimin and Jungkook, who entered the military together, currently serve in the 5th Infantry Division after being assigned to their units.
