Rebel Wilson, famous for her roles in My Girlfriend’s Wedding, Pitch Perfect, and Jojo Rabbit, revealed that she briefly used Ozempic for weight loss.

Ozempic, a diabetes medication, made headlines when Kim Kardashian announced that she lost about 15.4 pounds in just three weeks using the drug.

Wilson confessed that she took Ozempic to maintain her weight after losing nearly 79.4 pounds.

In an interview with The Sunday Times on March 31st, local time, she said, “For someone like me, who has an insatiable appetite for sweets, this kind of medication can be beneficial.”

Wilson began losing weight in 2020 after hearing advice from a fertility doctor that reducing her weight could increase the chances of successful in vitro fertilization.

“No one, except for my mom, wanted me to lose weight,” she said, “People wanted me to continue playing the fat, funny character.”

Wilson lost weight through intense aerobic exercise, including running up the stairs of the Sydney Opera House.

Meanwhile, Rebel Wilson, who had her first child through a surrogate in November 2022, announced her engagement to her same-sex partner Ramona Agruma last February.
