Singer Park Bo Ram Passes Away Unexpectedly While Drinking with Friends

Singer Park Bo Ram has reportedly passed away suddenly while drinking with acquaintances.

According to the Namyangju Southern Police Station on the 12th, Park Bo Ram was found collapsed in front of the bathroom in a friend’s home in Namyangju City around 9:55 PM on the 11th.

The acquaintances went to check on her after she did not come out of the bathroom and discovered her collapsed; they then called the police. Police and firefighters responded to the scene, but it was reported that she was already in cardiac arrest.

Park Bo Ram was transported to a nearby hospital by the 119 emergency medical team and received CPR, but she passed away about an hour later.

It was reported that no external injuries were found at the scene. The police have requested an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death and are currently investigating the circumstances with the acquaintances. The autopsy is scheduled to be conducted as early as the 13th.

On the same day, her agency, Xanadu Entertainment, stated, “It is with profound sadness and heartache that we deliver this news. All fellow artists and staff are deeply mourning the deceased in great sorrow,” and officially announced the death of Park Bo Ram. They added, “It breaks our hearts even more to deliver this sudden news to the fans who have supported Park Bo Ram.”

The agency also requested, “We earnestly ask everyone to refrain from speculative reporting so that the grieving family and colleagues can mourn the deceased.”

Park Bo Ram gained attention in 2010 after appearing on Mnet’s Superstar K 2 and debuted in 2014 with the hit song “Beautiful.” She continued to be active, releasing songs like “Pretty Bae,” “Celebrity,” and “Why, You?” “Will be Fine” and “You Will Shine” in collaboration with In Sooni. In February of this year, she celebrated her 10th debut anniversary with a duet, “I Hope,” with Huh Gak, and on the 3rd of this month, she released a new song, “I Miss You,” which makes this news even more heartbreaking for her fans.
