The vibrant festival hosted by BTS and their fandom, ARMY, wrapped up successfully.

BTS held their 2024 FESTA on June 13 in Jamsil, Seoul. The FESTA is an annual festival where BTS celebrates their June 13 debut anniversary with their fans. This year, the festival offered a variety of activities, including booths, photo zones, and a fan event attended by Jin, bringing unforgettable memories for the ARMYs.

Even before the official opening, the venue was filled with ARMY’s passionate energy. Fans around the world, carrying purple props (a meaningful color for BTS and their fans), excitedly enjoyed the booths. In particular, the photo zone was bustling, with fans eager to create precious memories. The handwritten letters from the members displayed on the screens at the venue deeply touched the fans.

Jin’s appearance made the 2024 FESTA highlight even brighter. Jin, who completed his military service on June 12, chose to meet with fans as his first public appearance. At the first event, Jin’s Greeting, he shared warm hugs and eye contact with each of the 1,000 attendees. In the second event, June 13, 2024, in Seokjin, Clear Weather, he interacted with 4,000 fans. The second event started with the fans’ powerful chants calling Jin’s full name, Kim Seok Jin. Just like a scene from his first solo single, “The Astronaut” music video released in 2022, Jin rode a bicycle onto the main stage, saying, “I feel like I’ve come home, it feels like I’ve re-debuted,” adding, “Just seeing ARMY gives me enough energy.”

Jin performed his 2021 song “Super Tuna” for the first time in front of fans, stirring up excitement. “Super Tuna” originally had only one verse, but Jin created an extra verse for the event. He also performed his solo songs, such as “The Astronaut” and “Moon,” and enjoyed a fun time doing prevalent challenges. This included Jungkook’s “Seven” Dance Challenge and a mukbang reflecting his nickname, Eat Jin. During the event, handwritten letters from the other six members were revealed, moving the fans deeply.

In his final stage, Jin said, “I prepared hard for this FESTA,” and expressed his heartfelt gratitude by saying, “Thank you for waiting for me with unchanging support. I will always be around you and shine for you.” He also gave the fans purple flower bouquets as they were leaving, leaving a lasting impression.

Meanwhile, the June 13, 2024, in Seokjin, Clear Weather was live-streamed on Weverse for ARMY members who couldn’t attend in person. Viewers from 177 countries/regions worldwide enjoyed the event, again proving Jin’s global popularity.
