Why Pay for a Hotel in Abu Dhabi? THIS Airline Offers a Free Stay with Your Flight

Airlines in the United Arab Emirates have introduced a noteworthy air travel package.

According to Travel+Leisure, Etihad Airways offers a Stopover Package for passengers transiting through Abu Dhabi. A stopover is a situation where passengers stay in a transit country for more than 24 hours, which is different from a layover, where passengers quickly change to another flight.

To take advantage of this package, passengers must book round-trip tickets through Etihad Airways’ website, a stopover in Abu Dhabi. Afterward, they can reserve a hotel in downtown Abu Dhabi through a site that automatically connects.

Customers can choose from three —or four-star hotels and stay for up to two nights free of charge. However, the package does not apply on public holidays or dates specified on the Etihad Airways website. Etihad Airways CEO Antonoaldo Neves said, “We anticipate over 10,000 people will visit Abu Dhabi through the new stopover package.”

Along with this, Etihad Airways is conducting various events for passengers. Boarding passes issued by Etihad Airways can be used as an Abu Dhabi Pass, a ticket certified by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority. It allows passengers to enjoy over 30 attractions and tours in the city at discounted prices. Airline officials expressed their hope that the stopover package, offering various benefits, will increase the rate of revisits to Abu Dhabi.
