Cloudy Glassware? Try 5-Minute Cleaning Trick With Just Salt and Dish Soap

Daniel Kim Views

Do you have glass cups at home? They are often used because they look beautiful when drinks or alcohol reflects inside them. However, after prolonged use, glass cups tend to become cloudy.

So today, we’ll share a simple method for cleaning glass cups: soak them in a bubbly solution, which will make them look like new again.

Here is one of the glass cups we use at home. As you can see, it has become cloudy inside, making it hard to see through. No matter how much you scrub with detergent, the cloudy stains remain.

As a solution, start by preparing a container that can hold water.

Next, add a tablespoon of salt and dish soap.

Now, prepare hot water and fill the container halfway. Stir the salt and dish soap until they dissolve well.

Then, add cold water to ensure the mixture isn’t too hot. The glass cup could break if the water is too hot, so be careful.

After that, immerse the glass cup in soapy water for about 5 minutes to loosen any grime inside.

Finally, use a soft sponge to clean the cup thoroughly, and you’re done!

Make sure to dry the cleaned glass cup completely to prevent water spots from forming.

Ta-da! You can now see that the once cloudy glass cup has turned clear and shiny again!

Using salt and dish soap is a very simple and convenient way to remove those cloudy stains.
