The group LE SSERAFIM is making a comeback with old-school hip-hop dance.
On the 14th, their agency Source Music announced, “The third mini-album ‘EASY’ and the title track performance by LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eun Chae) will prominently feature old-school hip-hop dance.”
Source Music added, “The dance, reminiscent of the 1980s and 90s, has been stylishly reborn with the individuality of the five members. Once you see this song’s stage, you will again understand which performance can only be done by LE SSERAFIM.”
On the 13th, LE SSERAFIM raised hype for their comeback by releasing a highlight medley video of their new album. The title track, EASY, is only about 20 seconds long in this video. Despite its short duration, the fact that it’s their first time revealing a trap genre track aroused the curiosity of global fans.
This led to curiosity about the performance. People who watched the video commented, “The atmosphere is new. I can’t guess what kind of choreography they will show,” and “A song that makes the stage unpredictable,” showing a heated response.
The old-school hip-hop dance performed by LE SSERAFIM, combined with trap music, is expected to create a synergy beyond imagination. LE SSERAFIM has a history of surprising the public with unexpected elements in their performance that oppose the music in their debut song, “FEARLESS.” They completed a new stage by applying high-level group dance to this song, which boasts ultimate sophistication based on a bold bass riff. As they have grown into the “best girl group performer” through subsequent releases of “ANTIFRAGILE” and “UNFORGIVEN (Feat. Nile Rodgers),” expectations are growing for the choreography in “EASY,” which is by no means easy.
LE SSERAFIM’s third mini-album, “EASY,” will be released on the 19th at 6 PM. The title track, “EASY,” contains the determination that although nothing is easy, we will make everything look easy.
Meanwhile, according to the latest chart (as of February 17th) announced by the U.S. music specialist media Billboard on the 13th (local time), LE SSERAFIM’s first English digital single “Perfect Night” charted for 15 consecutive weeks, ranking 39th in Global (excluding U.S.) and 72nd in Global 200. The steady popularity of this song is expected to extend into interest for their new album.
