British media outlet Goal.com reported on the 13th (Korean time), “Neymar reportedly turned up drunk to some Paris Saint-Germain training sessions and lost Kylian Mbappe’s respect during his turbulent spell in France.”

French media L’Equipe also reported that during his six years at PSG, “players and staff said that Neymar sometimes appeared at training drunk.”

According to the media, Neymar was involved in a training ground brawl with Lionel Messi, Achraf Hakimi, and Sergio Ramos during Christophe Galtier’s tenure as coach. He also insulted youth player Ismael Gharbi. These events significantly worsened his relationship with Mbappé, who was once a close ally.

Neymar, along with Mbappé, was one of PSG’s top stars. PSG paid a transfer fee of 222 million euros to acquire Neymar. Although Neymar led the team with his overwhelming skills whenever he played, injuries held him back, limiting him to only 173 appearances.

Eventually, Neymar transferred to Al Hilal in the Saudi Arabian league ahead of this season. He was attracted to the move after Saudi Arabia decided to invest heavily in football by injecting oil money. However, soon after his transfer, Neymar ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in October last year while playing for the Brazil national team and has been unable to play since.

Meanwhile, Neymar mainly supported Lee Kang In when he transferred from RCD Mallorca to PSG, even giving him the nickname Kanguinho. The two were seen joking around freely during the Japan-domestic preseason tour.

Thanks to the affection of Neymar, Kylian Mbappé, Achraf Hakimi, and others, Lee Kang In was able to adapt to the team quickly.
